  Located at the altitude of 2990m in Rara National park, Rara Lake is the biggest lake of Nepal with an area of 10.8sq. km. Rara lake has been famous destination for tourist in western Nepal. Surrounded by the richly forest of pine, juniper and spruce trees with variety of birds more than 200 species, Rara lake provides the great view of snowy mountains surrounded by high coniferous trees on its crystal clear surface as a mirror. From Chuchemara dauda located at the hight of 4087m, You can have great magnificent view of Rara lake surrounded by trees and snow capped mountains. Rara lake is great place to visit as you can see completely different culture and lifestyle of people of Rara region.

 How To Reach There?

Rara lake is a short trek full of natural scenery, cultural diversity and home of endangered folre and fauna. It takes you 6 days to go and return Rara lake. The journey starts from Kathmandu. You can fly to Nepalgunj from Kathmandu or you can get bus to go to Nepalgunj from Kathmandu as well. Than you should take a flight to Talcha airport from Nepalgunj. There a walking route also which takes you more days to reach Rara lake. Your hike starts from Talcha airport to Rara lake through Rara National park where you can diverse flora nad fauna. You can spend night at Rara lake.Boating is allowed in Rara lake which is one of the adventures thing there.

            As Rara lake lies in Rara National Park with 1047 animals, 24 mammals and 207 birds , you will have great experience with wildlife of Nepal. You can see western Nepalese culture and lifestyle. The great view of sunrise and sunset can be seen from here.
