Pikey Peak
Pikey Peak lying at the altitude of 4060 metre is one of the highest hill of Solukhumbu. It is also known as Pikey dada.The name pikey is derived from sherpa clan deity. Local people around the peak worshipped their clan god on the month of July as Pikey Hlapchen Karbu. You can see most of the eastern and central himalayas peak from Pikey. It is the nearest place from where you can have majestic view of Mt. Everest, highest peak of the world along with other peaks i.e. Mt. Annapurna, Makalu, Kanchanjunga, Manaslu, Numbur, Gaurishankar, Karylung, Thamserku, Mera peak, Ama dablam, Nuptse etc. Pikey peak is famous for sunrise and sunset as well over majestic peaks.

Things You Can See
You can have amazing view of landscapes, trail through dense forest having various flora and fauna, rocky and sloppy hills. You can explore typical sherpa culture and lifestyle. You can enjoy the local dishes and delicacies as well. The jungles of Rhododendron, old monasteries and buddhist priest are on whole trail. Spring and Autumn season are best season to visit Pikey peak as you can have view of all majestic mountain ranges.

How To Get There
Trek to Pikey Peak begins with one whole day drive from Kathmandu to Bhandar. Bhandar is a beautiful village with 60-70 houses where you can get hotels to stay. Your trek starts from Bhandar. You need to cross Likhu river and walk up for 5 hours and reached Goli Gompa. There are houses on the way where you can have lunch. Than next stop will be Ngawur where you can see monasteries and small village. You can stay there for night and continue your trek early in the morning to view sunrise. You can enjoy the scenery there till noon. You can tent your camp there if you have brought else you can return back to Ngawur or you can continue your trek to Phaplu and take a flight to kathmandu from there. Its only 6 days trek so you can manage your time and come to Pikey trek with your family and friends.
