Barun Valley

How to Get There?
As it lies inside Makalu Barun National Park, this trek is full of true wilderness adventure with no sign of human life. There are no lodges from Tashi gaon, you need to carry food and fuel enough for 15 days and camping gear as well. The trail is hard to follow so you must take guide with you. You should get plane ticket from Kathmandu to Tumlingtar and Trek starts from tumlingtar. Your trail pass from Khadbari to Chichila, Chicila to mude,Mude to Seduwa,Seduwa to Tashigaon Tashigaon to Kongma, kongma to Mumbuk, Mumbuk to Nghe, Nghe to merek and merek to shersong and Barun pass. Whole area of this valley is uninhabited. You need to plan for 15 to 20 days trek

The domelike cave called shiva dhara about 500 feet tall has large waterfall falling out of stone roof.This water fall is considered as the most scared tap of Lord Shiva. It will take 3 to 4 hours to climb over that waterfall with the help of guide. Beyul which is described in buddhist books as mystical and beautiful evergreen place where no one gets old is believed to be exist in this valley.There are many myth and truth about this valley which you can explore visiting this place.
