Badi Maika temple is located at Bajura district in Seti Zone at the altitude of 15000 ft. Situated at the top of hill, scenery from Badi Malika is breath taking with high hills, mountain ranges and beautiful grassland full of variety of flowers.Being dedicated to Goddess Bhagwati, Badi Malika is famous religious destination for hindu people. Rich in natural beauty , cultural heritage as well as centre of pilgrimage, Badi Malika is best destination for pilgrimage, trekking and research work.

Myth and festival 

 According to the myth of hindi religion, the shoulder of Saati, wife of Lord Shiva was fell at Mallagiri mountain and later  referred as Malika. Every year there's a big fair on the month of Bhadra and Janai purnima, with great celebration of Holi festival. Thousand of people from Nepal and India visit Badi Malika to attend these occation. Local people believe that Goddess Bhagwati will fulfill their wish i they v isit Badi Malika. Badi Malika is a great place to visit with natural scenery, cultural diversity, and biodiversity.

  Adventures Trail to Badi Malika

The way to Badi Malika is full of adventures and difficulties. It will take you 3 days to reach Badi Malika Temple from Martadi, Headquarter of  Bajura district. You can reach Martadi  either by roadways or plane. To go by road, there's motorway from Dhangadi to Saafebagar of Accham and Saafebagar to Bramhatola Serabazar. But you need to walk from saafebagar during rainy season. Domestic flight from Nepalgunj to Kolti is available and it will take you one day trek to reach Martadi from there. There's no proper lodging and fooding facilities on the way as it is located in remote area, you should carry warm clothes, food and camping gear. Shrawan to Asoj will be best  season to visit Badi Malika as the snow will block the way and makes it even difficult on other season.
