Daman
Daman is located at Makwanpur district, 80 km southwest of Kathmandu valley at the altitude of 2322m above sea level. Daman has the longest stretch of himalayan range of 400km from Everest to the east to Dhaulagiri to the west, the longest himalayan range you see from anywhere in Nepal with view of Ganesh, Makalu and Annapurna mountains. You can have clear view of sunrise and sunset from Daman rather than Nagarkot and Phulchoki( Hills nearby Kathmandu).

Major Attraction
Daman is best destination
to get refresh from daily routine of work with family and friends with view of
mountain range and green hills. Rock climbing, Hiking and Cycling can make your
visit even enjoyable here. There is a temple of Riseswor and Buddhist monastery
as well for pilgrimage. Rhododendron flower which flowers during spring
season makes whole hill colourful makes scenery worth seeing. You have a view
of whole area from View tower equipped with telescope after paying few fees.

Way to Daman
Daman is located on the way between Kathmandu and Hetauda. You
can get bus and micro at kathamandu, Kalanki. You can hike from Pharping as
well. There are hotels to stay at daman. You can go there, stay night, and
return to Kathmandu in short time. Winter recive snowfall here so you can enjoy
the snow here in Daman.

Personal Experience
I went to Daman last year to visit. It was the time of spring. It was
one of the most beautiful I visited in Nepal. The coniferous forest add beauty
to Daman. I went there by bike. The snake like road was fun to ride with less
traffic. I went to the top of hill. There was a communication tower. I went
there and asked the technician if i can climb up to have a view. They allowed
us and the view was like OMG. We stayed at Local Lodge and service was
satisfactory. I recommend you to visit Daman if you are planning to visit
somewhere
